_____ January 22 2020 update
We started the year 2020 without the Paypal button exhausted by the constant search and push for promotion which culminated with the huge disapointment of basically no sales between July and December even doing -25% promotion + goodies for Black Friday, White Saturday, Nap Sunday, Cyber Monday, Tutu Tuesday and F.U.Wednesday
With less than 100 books left we considered that it was time to pack it up and leave for a friendlier place while turning the page if not burning it (my wet dream).
Book publishing is not for the faint of heart and requires strong shoulders if the topic is as esoteric as this one made for a "community" allergic to marketing, sales and promotions, more interested on the center plaza,"Playa", than the city itself, as if spending a week in Central Park or in front of the Eiffel Tower brought the full experience of N.Y.C. or Paris (France)
The tragic passing of Rob Bell, the talended artist and visionary man that created Zonotopia and the Two Trees featured on the cover of the book reignited some interest for the book that recently was featured on 5 pages of the upscale British magazine ICON and on the BM insta feed.
Because of this new but too late interest, we had to put back the Paypal button that we took down mid-December when we gave up on any more sales.
Now our new location and new passions ask for a simplified operation to end the book story and move on.
So wherever you are in the world the price is the same, $70, with shipping included.
For the USA where most of our customers are it is the same price because it comes now from overseas (I am not going to tell you its price during Black Friday when the book was shipped from San Francisco, the 3 people who bought it that week made a great and wise investment)
If miraculously you wanted two books send us a mail, we will figure out a solution, right now the size of the package for one book where we live is considered as a letter( less than 3 cm wide) which offers an affordable international rate.
We pack well and ship fast

Why your site is so minimalist?
It could be seen as an artistic statement, a reflection on the bare nature of the desert, an initiatic experience to unlock you outer instinct, a Situationist respons to the 21st century angst. No!
This endeavour is a one-man-show in the pure ultra-risky entrepreneurial spirit of make or break.
Add to the equation, a French born artist with limited web-designing skill and you get a retro-looking site so out-of-fashion that it should have a following cult and be a trending item for the next 20 secondes.
"I am someone without the sense of humor, is this serious?"
We know all too well that sense of humor nowadays, in 2018, is a rare commodity.
Sit back, relax, you are tiptoing in the multi-faceted world of Black Rock City, bouncing from harsh reality to wacky weirdness, this is a state of mind.
Reading the book you should get used to it.
What about shipping?
I see your point.
Because this part doesn't require too much brain power, we know how to do it quite well. We Do.
Over the years, for the first book, we shipped US and International a thousand (1000) packages without (0) major incident.
Usually, international and Canada are double packaged, we know that the US Postal workers are extremely delicate with our packages
but we don't know for the rest of the world.
So far we have had no complain whatsoever even from French customers.
Usually the team (me, myself and I) ship the book within 24 hours of the order. Depending on the mood we might add goodies,
stickers, postcards from BM years past, early buyers get two mini-posters. This will not last long given the limited amount.
US Media mail is the cheapest, most of the time we include it in the book price, it depends on our mood.
In average it takes a week for the USA. In the Bay Erea it is not unusual to have the book delivered in 2 days
Priority mail usually is about 2/3 days.
About Canada and International, we are deeply sorry, we know we are losing customers but the postal rates are outrageous, on the Paypal button we are absorbing part of the cost by shaving our (thin) profit margin.
What is Black Rock City?
Buy the book!
May I return my used book?
That is the first time we have this request.
We gladly suggest that you keep it and gift it to your campmate who just lost the latest Martha Stewart's" How to redecorate your gloomy hexayurt in 5 easy steps".
How can I help?
Thank you for this question. First, we are looking for a web designer who will design a sleak and trendy site. In the true sharing and gifting spirit of the desert, we welcome volunteers who will discover true enlightment within the share of one's love and the universal joy of working to save the planet.
Second, someone who knows how to promote intelligently this book will earn my eternal gratitude.
What are you listening to?
Most important question.
On the playa: Brian Eno, KLF, The Orb, Blade Runner soundtrack,
Off playa: whatever calms me down, right now the after-burn set by Dj Tennis and Rebolledo on the Mayan Warrior.
Where do you practice yoga?
